Arnold Iron Cuts

Arnold Iron Cuts

A new product line from Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming soon, and Arnold Iron Cuts is featured in the premiere lineup.

According to a press release, “The Arnold Series product line will initially launch with eight supplements supporting the four fitness pillars: performance, power & strength, nutrient support and recovery.

It will be available domestically and internationally at health and nutrition stores as well as online retailers in September 2013.”[1]

Arnold Iron Cuts is designed to metabolize and cut away fat to achieve a hard, dry, and lean look.

With the release date, September 25, 2013, quickly approaching, I wanted to take a look at everything we know so far about Arnold Iron Cuts.

All About Arnold

Arnold Schwarzenegger is perhaps one of the most recognized figures in the body building industry.

He’s won multiple worldwide titles, including Mr. World, Mr. Universe, and Mr. Olympia. He’s written books, given seminars, and even inspired the Arnold Classic in Ohio. Creating a line of supplements was a natural next step.[1]

In a press release Schwarzenegger said, “After meeting with the MusclePharm team, learning about the company, and spending time with the founders, I knew they were the perfect partners to start a line of nutritional supplements and continue promoting fitness around the world.

Their passion for sports nutrition and science fits perfectly with my mission to help everyone discover the benefits of health and nutrition.”[1]

Arnold Iron Cuts Formula

There are 3 different blends in the Arnold Iron Cuts formula, each with specific ingredients and purposes.

Thermogenic & Fat Metabolizer – 930 mg

L-carnitine

L-carnitine uses stored fat as an energy source. Some companies claim l-carnitine enhances endurance during exercise, but most studies dispute this. However, I found one study where fat oxidation was improved by daily administrations of 3 g l-carnitine.[2] Anywhere from 1 to 3 grams has been recommended.

Green Tea

Green tea plays many different roles in supplements. It augments metabolism, which in turn burns more calories. In one clinical study, decreased abdominal fat resulted from 625 mg green tea catechins. Another study shows green tea decreases appetite.[3][4]

Between 200 and 300 mg a day has been used with success. Arnold Iron Cuts likely contains this amount.

Caffeine Anhydrous

Delivered in dry powder form, caffeine is a powerful stimulant. It powers workouts by improving endurance and providing energy.

After completing rigorous exercises, 12 men taking 5 mg per kg body weight experienced increased exercise-induced oxygen and energy use.[5]

Caffeine is associated with numerous side effects, including jitteriness, insomnia, and irritability. A safe dose normally falls within 2 to 10 mg per day. There is likely much more caffeine in Arnold Iron Cuts.

Muscle Building Maximizer – 900 mg

Maca 4:1

Maca, or lepidium meyenii, is a popular ingredient for males. It is normally used to enhance male sexuality, strength, and endurance. In one clinical study, cyclist improved cycling time and performance when taking 2,000 mg maca daily.[6]

Arnold Iron Cuts does not have enough maca to meet the doses in studies.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

An antioxidant, alpha lipoic acid prevents free radicals and toxins from harming muscle cells. Some studies suggest it suppresses appetite and boosts metabolism.[7]

Estrogen & Cortisol Metabolizer – 383 mg

Gymnema Slyvestre Leaf Extract

In one study, 400 mg gymnema was included in a supplement that decreased body weight and BMI.[8] No expert dose has been concluded.

Grape Seed Extract

Grapes are potent antioxidants, and in an animal study rats given 100 mg per kg body weight grape seed extract saw oxidative stress caused by exercise reduced.[9] More human testing needs to be conducted.

Arnold Iron Cuts Directions

Arnold Iron Cuts servings can be adjusted to fit your needs. For regular supplementation, take 3 pills every day with your first meal. If you’re involved in more intense training programs, take 3 pills with breakfast and 3 with lunch.

Women should not take Arnold Iron Cuts due to the effects it has on estrogen levels.

Do not take Arnold Iron Cuts 6 hours before bed.

What Will Arnold Iron Cuts Cost?

Virtually all stores offer Arnold Iron Cuts for around $30 for a 90-capsule bottle.

I recommend buying Arnold Iron Cuts from Supplementing.com. It’s only 50 cents more than the cheapest option, and every order is backed by a money-back guarantee.
